By accessing or using Daily Read Bytes ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

What the Service is

Daily Read Bytes publishes short news digests in English, generated from publicly available news feeds and public videos. Every digest links to and credits its original source, and the original reporting or video belongs to the referenced publisher or channel. Alongside the automated digests, the Service also publishes original long-form editorial articles ("Long Bytes") written by named contributors.

Accounts

• Signing in with Google is optional and only required for liking, reacting, and commenting.
• You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
• We may suspend accounts that abuse the Service.

Comments and your content

• Comments you post are public and appear with your name and profile picture. You are responsible for what you post.
• Do not post content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, harassing, or spam. We may remove comments and restrict commenting at our discretion.
• You keep ownership of your comments and grant us a non-exclusive right to display them on the Service.

Editorial contributions

Long-form editorial articles are contributed under the arrangement described on ourWrite for Us page: authors keep authorship and credit for their work, and we hold the right to host and display it. Editorial articles reflect the views of their authors, not of the Service.

Acceptable use

• Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
• Do not use the Service to violate any applicable law.
• Automated access to public pages is permitted at reasonable rates; see robots.txt.

Intellectual property

• Our digests, bullets, and site design are the property of the Service operator. You may share and quote them with attribution and a link. Editorial articles remain the property of their credited authors.
• Headlines, images, and underlying articles remain the property of their respective publishers. Images are displayed by reference to the publisher's own servers.
• Videos and video thumbnails remain the property of their creators. Videos are playable only through YouTube's own embedded player, and previews are shown directly from YouTube's servers; we never copy or rehost them.
• If you are a rights holder and believe content on the Service infringes your rights, contact us (see below) and we will review and, where appropriate, remove the material promptly.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Digests are generated automatically and may contain errors or omissions; always consult the linked original source before relying on any information. Editorial articles and comments reflect the views of their authors. Nothing on the Service constitutes professional, legal, financial, or medical advice.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.

Changes to the Service or these terms

We may modify or discontinue the Service at any time. We may update these terms; the date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
